Spa-like Bathroom: How to Create One at Home

The love for pretty bathrooms lies in the heart of every girl. We just can’t help it. Imagine walking into your bathroom and everything is order, clean and put together. It feels luxurious almost as if you imported the spa into your home and now you have  your own little secret relaxation retreat. You wanna create that space , keep reading 😉
In this guide, I will be sharing ways to create the spa-like bathroom of your dreams.

Declutter First

To begin the transformation process, we need to declutter the bathroom space. A true spa-like bathroom isn’t cluttered with towels and hairdryers or half used products and all the messiness you’ve got going on there. Store personal care items out of sight and keep only the essentials on display—and even those should be beautifully arranged. Use matching containers or glass jars  to store Q-tips, cotton pads and other bathroom essentials. This is going to create the minimalist clean spa aesthetic.

Bring in Plants

Next, add some greenery. What is more spa-like that a few plants around the bathroom. Bring nature into your bathroom, transform the bland look into a mini spa island. Hang some eucalyptus ,put some flowers, and watch that bathroom bloom.

Create ambient lighting

The lighting in your bathroom is key in trying to create that calming feeling, harsh overhead lights can ruin the spa-like ambiance.
Find some dimmable bulbs that can help you relax while taking your bath.

Putting some towels on display is a sure way to create that spa-like bathroom. It feels expensive and bougie. You can go as far as getting your initials on your towel set. Very extra but really creates this luxury experience. Go for monogrammed towels of the same colours . Adding a bidet is literally a luxury and a more hygienic way to clean yourself. It is the ultimate Miss bougie thing to have. Definitely get one of you can.

A beautiful art piece hanged on the walls of your bathroom creates a spa-like ambiance. A painting that matches the aesthetic of your bathroom and your own taste. It feels  expensive and  elegant.

I love sweet scents and anything that smells good. Invest in high quality scents or other aromatherapy products to make your bathroom smell like heaven. I recommend some Jasmine , eucalyptus, or lavender if you like natural organic aromatherapy products.

Getting some fancy inexpensive storage containers from Amazon is the way to go with turning your little bathroom into a mini spa. It organises everything you need, reduces the clutter making things easier to find.

Add Meaningful Accessories

You will be surprised how a little piece of assesory can go a long way to create that spa -like bathroom vibe. Your accessories can be anything of choice that you love, it adds that extra touch that appeals to your taste and style. It could be a collection of essential oils you love so much arranged beautiful or luxurious shower curtains.

Use Custom Labels

Custom labels do more than keep things tidy—they bring calm and style to your spa bathroom. Keep like items together in matching containers for a clean, cohesive look. Play with different heights and textures using bottles, jars, and baskets, and add natural touches like a wooden tray or a bit of greenery. Less is more—keep surfaces simple so everything feels peaceful and intentional.

Pastel Colours

You should incorporate pastel colours in your bathroom either as wallpaper, tiling, curtains, storage boxes .They create a soft soothing atmosphere  that’s so refreshing. Pale lavender, mint green, blush pink, or light blue  shades add subtle color without overwhelming the space.

If space allows, add a  beautiful upholstered stool or ottoman adds a luxurious element to the bathroom . You can go for water resistant velvet, leather, or soft fabric.

A set of bathrobes made of Egyptian cotton is a  must have. It’s comfortable,soft and cozy along with some matching bath slippers in your favourite colour. I love them in neutrals, and pastels.

There’s so many choices to go for, wooden frames,black metallic frames,golden or oval frames. They are all capable of adding that polished put together spa -like look you want to create.

Set up a Bluetooth Speaker

Of course you sing in your shower, everyone does. Adding a water proof Bluetooth speaker  is a must -have for all shower singers. Play your favourite playlist while singing with your hair brush.

Somes pretty baskets are essential and great for organising your bathroom staples including;towels, robes, skincare, hair products and everything you need for your spa retreat at home.

Get Fancy Soap

Fancy soap is a great item to add in your bathroom. Go for high-quality, artisan-style soaps that look as good as they smell
I recommend rose clay, lavender.

Display a Vase

A pretty vase elevates your bathroom experience. It is a beautiful accessory as well. You put your flowers in them or nothing and they stand just for show depending on what you’re into.
